Trek: Everest Cultural Trek
Experience the true Everest Culture
Everest Cultural Trek is one of the strenuous trekking routes that provide superb views of mountains mixed with the cultures of Sherpa people and other religious activities. This Khumbu region is regarded as the home to Sherpas, the world's most famous mountaineers. The Tengboche Monastery, centre of Sherpa Buddhist culture, holds pride of place in Himalayan iconography. We fly from Kathmandu to Lukla airstrip and trek up to Namche Bazaar, Tyanboche Monastery and into Khumjung village, homelands of Sherpas and experience culture, the people and the magnificent scenery. From Tyanboche Monastery you can have spectacular views of Mt. Everest, Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Thamserku, and many other superb snowy peaks. Sacred stones, Chortens, Mani walls (boulders marked with Buddhist Prayer inscriptions) and player flags mark the trip. Yak caravans are frequently encountered and the precarious suspension bridges make you pause. You may not meet a yeti but a barking deer, musk deer and Himalayan Thar or mountain goat can be seen gazing on the steep slopes. Then, your trek ends with fly back to Kathmandu from Lukla.
