Trek: Base Camp - Cho La - Gokyo

Cross one of the highest passes in the region..

The Everest Base camp-chola Gokyo trek includes the trekking over the highest mountain Mt Everest (8,848m) and many mountains over 8,000m height such as Lhotse, Cho Oyu, Makalu and Gokyo valley. This unique trek gives you eyeful views of mountain vistas and glaciers. This trek leading to Holy Gokyo Lake over the Cho La at 5,43m making a circuit of Tawache (6,367m), and Cholaste (6,440m). This trek takes 18 days which follows the highly praised trekking route through the Dudh Koshi to its source the Gokyo Lake to the west of Everest Base camp. The excellent trek gives the benefit to summit Gokyo Ri (5,300m) offering a fantastic panoramic view of Cho Oyo, Everest Makalu, Lotche and Gokyo. While, you are trekking in Gokyo valley, we will have time to climb Gokyo Ri 5360m. From there you can observe the world famous peak above 8,000m of Cho Oyu ((8,201m) Malkalu (8,463m) exposed above Gokyo. You camp at Garakshep provides the opportunity to ascend to Kala Pattar for more spectacular views of surrounding mountains. This trek gives you the glimpse of Sherpa villages, homes and monasteries offering you an insight into the quiet, but culturally vibrant Sherpa way of life.
